On Saturday, June 9, the sixth annual “Ride for the Red Shield” event will take place at The Salvation Army located at 40 East Main Street in Flemington, New Jersey. This ride will start at 9:30 am and run until around 3:00 pm.

This fundraising ride begins at The Salvation Army building with registration between 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Once the ride starts, participants will start on East Main Street and will ride the 60 miles throughout Hunterdon County to the Cheeburger Cheeburger located on Reaville Avenue. Bikes are blessed before the ride begins. Proceeds from this ride will go to Flemington’s Salvation Army.

The event will feature cash prizes awarded for the Best Bike and the Best Represented Bike Group. Registration forms for this event can be found on the Salvation Army’s website. Participants will have bags of fun with plenty of exercise, all for a great cause, and event T-shirts will be given to the first 200 participants. There will be event pins for all and lunch will take place at Cheeburger Cheeburger. Awards will be presented following lunch, at around 2:00 pm. Refreshments are available throughout the ride and participants are sure to have a great time and meet many new people.

Taking part in the ride costs $25 per rider and $10 per passenger. Flyer printing for this fundraising event may have been used to advertise and promote it to the public.
