Farmers’ market commences this weekend

June 19, 2012 by

Starting this Sunday, June 24, the Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers Market will reopen for business at the Historic Dvoor Farm located at 111 Mine Street in Flemington, New Jersey. This market will be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers Market is reopening on this day at its new location at Historic Dvoor Farm. There are new vendors available as well as many of the old favorites. Guests can browse row after row of fresh produce, grown locally, as well as artisan breads, cheeses, grass-fed meats, honey, native plants, and wines. While at the market, guests are invited to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea out in the fresh air.

This is the 6th season for this market and it has become the favorite meeting place of many in this community. The Hunterdon Land Trust’s vision was to create a place where local farmers could market and sell their products. Today, the public has grown to appreciate this celebration of the agricultural community and to not only enjoy the local food but to appreciate it as well. As well as the obvious benefits to local farmers, this is a good initiative for the community and guests who drive in from out-of-town areas to enjoy the market each week.

The farmers’ market, which will remain open until November 18, has its official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening this Sunday at 10:00 am. Tours of the historic farm will take place between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

Flyer printing and poster printing may have been used to promote this exciting grand reopening event. For additional information, visit the Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers Market website.
