Week filled with activities in Fair Lawn
October 10, 2013 by Max
Numerous community events will be held in Fair Lawn this week and over the weekend. No doubt the organizations sponsoring these events are using a variety of printing services to let those in the area become aware of these events and take advantage of what they have to offer.
Tomorrow, October 11, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, there will be a flu clinic in the courtroom on the second floor of the municipal building. Registration for the clinic can be made in person at the municipal building. Those who are homebound can call the health department to arrange for a visit at home.
As well as this, a family fun night will be held at St. Anne’s Church tomorrow from 7:00 pm, with proceeds going to support its cheerleading team.
Elsewhere, the Fair Lawn Athletic Club will be celebrating its 90th anniversary with drink specials at their bar on Friday night and a DJ on Saturday night. Starting off as a social club in the early 1920s, it became an Athletic Club in 1923. Since that time, the Club has purchased playground equipment for the schools in the town, raised funds for the United States troops during World War II, organized the first Boy Scout troop in the borough, and now has a little league team and sponsors many other causes.
Finally, ‘Funny Girl’ will be presented by the Skyline Theatre Company tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday at the Fair Lawn Community Center. In addition to the evening performances on those days, there will be matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday.
