Rail Yard Tavern holds grand opening ceremony in Fair Lawn

The Rail Yard Tavern recently held a grand opening ceremony in Fair Lawn at the location of the former Trackside Grille. Most likely, the co-owners of the new restaurant, Sue McLaughlin and Bob Piccoli, used a variety of printing services to make the community aware of their new eatery.

The interior pays tribute to the days of steam train locomotives, but was completely renovated with separate areas for a lounge, bar and family dining with a more modern appeal. Seating in the downstairs area was also eliminated, yet the owners were able to maintain the same number of seats as the Trackside Grille.

There is a large variety of thin crust pizzas, specialty sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads, and dinner entrees on the menu, with kid-friendly choices for family gatherings. Daily specials are created from local available foods. A wide selection of craft beers and wine and spirits are also available.

Piccoli is the former owner of Pub 17 in Ramsey. He and McLaughlin were able to pick up the liquor license and the location of the Trackside Grille after the state took it over for failing to pay its taxes. McLaughlin commented that they are looking forward to being involved in the community of Fair Lawn and being a friendly place at which locals can get their favorite foods.
