Ewing Tennis Team dominates the net

Ewing‘s College of New Jersey Men’s Tennis Team emerged victorious from the New Jersey Invitational on September 7 and 8.
The Division 1 tennis team competed against three other Division 1 teams from New Jersey over the course of a two-day invitational. During the first day, the College of New Jersey team, the Lions, played against Rider University’s men’s team. The first day of the invitational was held on the College of New Jersey’s home turf. The home team advantage must have come into play, as the Lions swept Rider’s Broncos, winning all 13 matches.
On the second day, the Lions headed to Monmouth University, where they played 12 matches against the Monmouth Hawks and St. Peter’s College. Again, the Lions cleaned up. The Ewing team won nine matches, bringing its total for the invitational to 22 out of 25 matches.
Four singles players had 2-0 records during this past weekend’s invitational and two doubles teams for the Lions had 3-0 records this weekend too. The opening invitational could be a sign of great things to come for this year’s team. Depending on how well they do, they might need to make use of banner printing from a Ewing print company to produce a banner highlighting their wins.
The men’s tennis team will stay home this weekend to participate in the Lions’ Invitational – a two-day event that will pit the team against competitors from New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology.
