East Brunswick to host Fourth of July celebration

June 25, 2016 by

East Brunswick will be joining other communities all across the USA to celebrate its birthday in style.

The festivities, which are being offered free of charge, include midway-style rides, live musical performances as well as balloon sculptors, face painting, and fireworks. A variety of eating contests, such as watermelon, chicken wings and cupcake eating will be held, and Uncle Sam himself will even be paying a visit for the evening. Food and other treats will be available for purchase, and the parking is free.

To help make the evening go as smoothly as possible, members of the East Brunswick Police Department will be on hand to direct traffic and ensure people park in the designated spaces.

East Brunswick Recreation, which is hosting the event, noted that it would like to express its thanks to all those businesses and organizations that acted as sponsors for the event. These include Route 18 Auto, Stop & Shop, Remax, TAP into East Brunswick, Hoffmann Pediatric Dentistry, Northfield Bank and Satori Academy. The Township of East Brunswick also provided support to the celebration. Flyers can be used to effectively promote events like this to the community and surrounding areas.

The festivities are scheduled for July Fourth, starting at 4:00 pm at Community Arts Center. Further details can be found on its website or Facebook page.
