Staples launches school supplies campaign

The Boys & Girls Club of America is teaming up with office supplies firm Staples to raise money as part of an upcoming student equipment drive.

Teenage actor Jake Austin will be joining in to lend his help with the sixth annual Staples for Students national annual supply drive. The funds raised will be used to provide the vital equipment which pupils in the area will need on their return to school.

Customers at Staples have until September 28 to donate any amount, with 100 per cent of the money going to students across Clifton. For those who would rather donate online, a Facebook page has been set up, with Staples donating $1 for every share the page receives.

School supplies may be taken to Staples stores in the region and the donated items will also go to benefit the local Boys & Girls Club.

Supply drives are popular at this time of year and most are organized to help ensure students are properly prepared for the school year ahead.

The mission of Boys & Girls Club of America is to help students to fulfill their learning potential by providing back-to-school supplies for those who need it most, so the collaboration with Staples is fitting.

Local brochure printers have also been involved, producing top quality leaflets and brochures to promote the fundraising events. Jake Austin will take part in interactive missions on the Staples for Students Facebook page and his image may be used across the printed materials for maximum impact.
