Introduce the kids to the natural world
July 5, 2012 by James
The BlueBearly Blast and Celebrate NJ Day Family Festival will take place at the Camden Children’s Garden on July 14 to 15 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm each day. Admission is $6 or free for those aged two and under.
There will be lots of activities for kids to take part in including arts and crafts, planting seeds, and lots of fresh fruit to enjoy. Blueberries are New Jersey’s state fruit and one feature of BlueBearly Blast will be the Very Berry Blueberry concession stand. No doubt organizers of the event hope to draw families from all over the area, including Cherry Hill, to enjoy this fun festival. They will also be relying on local printing companies to help them prepare for this event by providing services such as banner printing and poster printing.
The Camden Children’s Garden has been helping children discover the natural world through education and exhibits since 1985. They also host school trips, school festivals, and day camps. The facility boasts several types of gardens and areas for children to explore, such as the violet plaza, the fitness garden, the Arrow River train, the dinosaur garden, Benjamin Franklin’s Workshop, storybook gardens, and the butterfly tent.
Many city children rearly get exposed to nature. The Garden rectifies that and lets kids have hands-on experiences with such tasks as planting. One of the ways of educating children and their parents is through the Second & Fourth Weekend Series, of which the BlueBearly Blast is an important part.
