Everything about adoption addressed in Cherry Hill
October 31, 2012 by James
The 9th annual Adoption Expo, Adoption Works will take place at the Cherry Hill Mall in just over a week’s time. Sponsored by the Camden County Surrogate’s Court and the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, it will feature booths from the New Jersey Department of Children and Families and several private adoption agencies.
These organizations will be answering questions about the adoption process, the foster parent program, and any other questions potential adoptive parents will have. They will also be laying out the benefits and merits that adopting a child has to offer.
The organizations that will be appearing at the Cherry Hill Mall may be working with local printing companies right now to provide them with literature to hand out to interested passers-by. There are many reasons why a person or family may consider adoption, from being unable to have children to wanting to open their family up to a child who is stuck in the foster-care system and give them a permanent home.
In past years, the Expo has drawn as many as 100 interested people and has convinced several people to adopt or to at least foster a child temporarily. Events such as this aim to help simplify the process of adoption and put potential adopters’ minds at rest through providing clear, professional information on nthe matter.
The Adoption Expo is due to take place on November 10 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. For more information, call 856-225-7282.
