Cherry Hill stayed healthy with trio of fitness events

The city of Cherry Hill is currently taking part in the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign which is aimed at improving health and wellness in the community. Several events are coming up in the city this August that will help improve overall fitness and health.

The city holds free monthly screenings for blood pressure and glucose levels. Also taking place monthly is the Mountain Bike Clinics Series, which teaches residents the fundamentals of mountain bike riding.

One event that is not officially part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign is ‘Sweat/Shop til you Drop: the Brickhouse Fitness and Vendor Show’, but it is closely related. Guests will be able to take a fitness class and shop for items afterwards. A portion of all proceeds will go to support Autism Speaks. In addition, there will be raffles and door prizes.

Cherry Hill printing companies have probably been asked by organizers of some of these events to supply such marketing materials as flyers.

The August free screenings will take place at AristaCare on August 7 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, while the Mountain Bike Clinic will take place at Kresson Trails on August 17 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Sweat/Shop til you Drop is taking place on August 24 at the Cherry Hill Health and Fitness Club from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm. Admission for the fitness class and show are $10 and $5 for just the vendor show. Vendors’ tables are available for $30 and a raffle donation. For more information, visit the event website.
