Cherry Hill focuses on its photographers
September 28, 2012 by James
The Cherry Hill Arts Board is taking applications from photographers who wish to exhibit their photographs at the juried Fall into the Arts Photography Show. The contest is open to photographers of all ages and skill levels.
The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Focus on Cherry Hill’ and it will feature photographs highlighting the town of Cherry Hill. Application fees are $10 per piece and photographers can send three pieces of work in total. The top photographers receive prizes of $250 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place. Entrants will need to make it snappy, as the deadline to apply is October 10. For more information call 856-488-7868.
There will be an opening reception held at Croft Farm Arts Center on October 13 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served and those who attend will get to meet the photographers taking part in the exhibit, with a chance to purchase the photographs.
Those photographers chosen to take place will exhibit their works at the Croft Farm Arts Center from October 13 – 27. It will be the responsibility of the photographer to ensure that the photograph is ready to be hung, which will include printing, matting, and framing it before adding wire for hanging. The works in the show will all be available for sale.
Cherry Hill printing companies can help provide some services to those photographers who are chosen to take part in the photography show. They could offer advice on the proper type and size of matt and can even print their photographs out for them using high-quality papers.
