Person of the year to be honored next month
August 26, 2012 by Sarah
The 2nd annual Beefsteak Dinner will be held at Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center on September 21 beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $40 and proceeds go towards restorations and the operation of the Oakeside Center.
The dinner will be honoring Oakeside’s person of the year and the honoree for 2012 will be Patrick Burns, who is the founding director of the Bloomfield Youth Band. Dinner will be catered by Frungillo’s Catering. Events such as this always, which help to build pride in a town and to honor someone who has contributed greatly to the community, might also be an excellent networking opportunity for local business leaders and those who lead community groups, such as the youth band.
First and foremost, however, it will also be a chance for those in the community to celebrate one of their own and to enjoy an excellent communal dinner with their friends and neighbors, while at the same time helping to maintain the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center for future generations.
A ‘souvenir journal’ will also be produced for the dinner. Local businesses can buy advertising space in the booklet for various prices – $150 for the back cover, $125 for the inside back cover, $100 for a full page ad, $60 for a half page ad, $35 for a quarter page ad, and $15 for a patron listing of up to eight words. As with the dinner, extra proceeds will go to support Oakeside. No doubt Bloomfield brochure printers will be providing the souvenir journal.
