Newark festival coming up in July
June 23, 2013 by Mark
The 8th annual Lincoln Park Music Festival is taking place in Newark for four days this July. It is a celebration of a variety of American genres of music, including jazz, gospel and hip hop.
The festival is a presentation of the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District. In addition to a wide variety of musical performers, the festival will feature youth showcases, arts and crafts vendors, a green marketplace, and food for sale. There will also be a health and wellness pavilion, which will provide free health screenings, massages, and yoga. The green marketplace will be selling items that are environmentally friendly. A farmer’s market will also be set up, and its vendors will be selling food grown in the Lincoln Park Community Farm. This event should be a great opportunity for local groups, musical or not, to make their names known in the community.
Vendors who wish to take part in the festival can rent space; food vendors pay $200 per day, arts and crafts pay $175, and non-profit groups pay $100. Sponsorships are also available.
No doubt many visitors and vendors taking part in the festival will come from all over the area, including nearby Bloomfield. Many of them will probably be working with their local printing companies to prepare. They might want to invest in banners or signs to draw attention to their booths, or they might want to provide informative brochures to those who stop by.
The Lincoln Park Music Festival will take place from July 25-28. For more information call 973-242-4144.
