Glittering weekend awaits in Albuquerque
March 14, 2014 by Mark
The ‘Family Fun Day: All That Glitters’ is an all-ages event on offer this weekend, featuring the global preview of Colonial Latin America, which is brought to life with family activities, art projects, and some stunning live performances.
No doubt promoters have been using poster printing, as well as flyer printing, to share information about this event with families in this community and throughout the region.
The event is designed for people of all ages and provides the family with a way to spend time together while learning about the various cultures in colonial Latin America. There will be information about the cultures that have had some influence on South American music.
The educational session will be provided through the performances by Encuentro, which will take place at 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Guests will share in a scavenger hunt that takes place in an exhibition area named ‘Behind Closed Doors’ and will feature the art seen in Spanish homes in the period from 1492 to 1898. Guests will see the lavish objects that the wealthy people kept in their houses. Artwork will be created based on the samples in this exhibition from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm within the lobby.
Admission to this event is free to all, and it will take place tomorrow afternoon, March 15, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Albuquerque Museum located at 2000 Mountain Road NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The museum’s website has further information about the proceedings.
