6th Annual Ballet Pro Musica Festival

From Friday, August 10th to Sunday, August 12th, the 6th Annual Ballet Pro Musica Festival will be happening at the National Hispanic Cultural Center located at 1701 Fourth Street, W in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This year, the National Ballet of Mexico will be joined by the La Catrina String Quartet to perform a virtuoso of musicians and dancers. Jacqueline Helin, a gifted pianist, will perform with the La Catrina String Quartet to present a very unique and entertaining collection of chamber masterpieces. Performances at this festival include Suite Imperial, which has be choreographed by Yasmin Barraga using music selections by Josef Haydin.

The second piece is called Reflections and was choreographed by Mark Godden with musical arrangements by Maurice Ravel, and the last performance is named Postcard from Vienna and was choreographed by Alex Ossadnik with music selected by Yohann Strauss Jr. This festival always presents internationally renowned music ensembles and ballet companies.

These selected performances will be a feast for the eyes and ears. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the door the evening of the event. As the only festival of its kind in America focusing exclusively on chamber masterpieces, it combines remarkably talented people and music.
