Start the year off right; attend the 50 Plus and Baby Boomer Expo

The 50 Plus and Baby Boomer Expo will be held at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center on January 28, 2012 from 9 am-4 pm. Admission is $5 at the door and $4 in advance; a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. This expo is aimed at seniors and Baby Boomers but all are welcome to attend.

The Expo will feature musical performances, interesting exhibits, seminars and workshops, prizes and much more. There will be a 50/50 raffle and one lucky person will win a casino trip for two. A silent auction will be held to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and will feature such items as jewellery, pottery and works of art. There will also be a dance party, a fashion show and a live game show.

Local organizations, including those from nearby Hinesburg, will have to opportunity to present their goods and services to the public. Those attending should see to new business card printing so they will have lots of card to hand out to potential customers; they could also bring a brochure or flyer which further describes their business.

The seminars which will be presented at the Expo include topics such as Health Coverage after Retirement, Aging Gracefully and the Finer Points of Cruising. The workshops will include such things as Makeup and Skincare in your Daily Routine, Dating 101 in 2011 and Preparing Raw Vegan Foods for a Healthier Lifestyle. There is definitely something for everyone.
