Gala invites guests to hospitality event

The sixth annual Vermont Chamber Hospitality Gala will take place on Lake Champlain aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen III boat on September 12 from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Tickets are $75 or $720 for a table of 12, with individual tickets priced at $60 if more than eight are purchased at a time.

The suggested dress for the event is “creative” black tie, which is the same as black tie but with a colorful twist. The evening will start off with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and an awards presentation, with live musical entertainment will be supplied throughout. The event honors four “stand out” leaders from the industry. Awards which will be handed out this year are Restaurateurs of the Year, Chef of the Year, Innkeeper of the Year, and Allied Member of the Year. Those in attendance would probably benefit from chatting with the winners and learning from them to increase their own business success.

This event will no doubt draw hospitality industry people from all over the area, including nearby Hinesburg. Those who plan to attend would be wise to arrange for business card printing in advance from local printing companies. Business cards are basically the first impression anyone makes about their business, so the cards must be up-to-date and in good physical shape. It is suggested that each person should bring at least 50 business cards to any networking event. They can easily be placed in a suit jacket or in a purse for swift access.
