Celebrate the strawberry crop

The 17th annual Strawberry Festival will be held at Sam Mazza’s Farm on June 23 from 11 am – 4 pm. It is a free event.

The festival will feature more strawberries than any one person can eat; strawberry shortcake, strawberry fudge, strawberry jam, dipped strawberries, and strawberry milkshakes. There will also be food samples, pony rides, kids games, a petting zoo, and face painting. The emcee for the day will be Charlie Papillo of WVMT Radio.

Sam Mazza’s Farm has several events throughout the year including a Harvest Festival in the fall and a Blueberry Social in August. No doubt they rely on printing companies to provide them with services such as banner printing to decorate the event. Printing companies might also provide them with flyer printing services to help get the word out about this yearly event to those in the area, including Hinesburg, who might not have heard of it before. Flyer printing services are inexpensive, especially if bough in bulk and flyers can reach a large amount of people in a very short time.

Events such as this are a good way to celebrate all that nature provides in the state of Vermont. While many farms are going under, many are thriving by offering festivals such as this to the community. They help children and others to understand the origin of their food, while promoting the idea that buying local produce is good for the local economy and the environment. Besides, fresh grown strawberries are a summertime treat that no one can resist.
