Snow Sculpting Competition comes to NH
January 24, 2013 by Sarah
This year, the Jackson Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Snow Sculpting Competition in New Hampshire. This is a fun family event that allows for everyone in the family to come out and watch the sculptures being created and then to vote as part of the ‘People’s Choice’ award. Poster printing was likely used to advertise and promote this snow sculpting event to the public in this area and the region.
The snow sculpting competition has 14 of the most talented snow sculpting teams from throughout the New England area that will be carving up large blocks of snow into some pretty amazing sculptures that will stand at the base of Black Mountain’s ski slopes. All people that come out to vote on the sculptures will be entered into a draw, for which the star prize is a Jackson Ski and Stay Package.
For people who want to see snow that is not lying flat on the ground, this is a great opportunity to come out, watch the teams, and enjoys the crisp winter air. This is a weeklong event but can be checked out daily.
There is no cost associated with this event and the public is encouraged to come out and check out the various teams’ progress. The Snow Sculpting Competition in New Hampshire will begin on Friday, January 25 at 12:00 pm and end on Sunday, February 3 at 12:00 pm at Black Mountain located at 373 Black Mountain Road in Jackson, New Hampshire, a short drive from North Conway. To learn more, please visit the Black Mountain website or call 603-383-4490.
