Kindness set to flourish in North Conway

May 16, 2013 by

The Be Kind Festival is celebrated during the Kindness Week, declared by the local community. Taking place this weekend, it is supported by the sale of wristbands costing $10 each, which are available in advance while the supplies last.

Guests will kick off with a special keynote speaker, Michael J. Chose, who is the founder of the Kindness Center. After his speech, people in attendance will enjoy coffee and hugs, as well as good vibrations in the Kindness Tent, making sure that plenty of good deeds and spirit are in the air.

As part of this Saturday’s schedule, people will receive ‘Kindness Trade’ before travelling across the community and committing acts of kindness to unsuspecting people. Many smiley faced balloons will be making their way across the city, and there will be all sorts of storytelling about acts of kindness back at the tent around noon, with pizza and vegetarian wraps available for a donation.

Other attractions include massages, kind art, blood pressure testing, and crafts for kiddies. Guests are reminded to check the website for updates and to dress for the weather, as this will be an active weekend filled with entertainment.

The Be Kind Festival is free to attend and is being held from tomorrow, May 17, until Sunday, May 19, at various locations throughout the community of North Conway, New Hampshire.
