Concerted efforts to entertain this weekend
February 11, 2014 by Max
‘Picture This: A Family Concert’ is on its way this weekend and has been made possible through the work of the Cogswell Benevolent Turst, the Nashua Arts Commission, the Ella F. Anderson Trust, and the NH State Council for the Arts.
The show will feature the classical works of the Dino Anagnost Youth Symphony Orchestra of New Hampshire. No doubt local printing services have been used to promote this event to people in this community.
The Music Director for this concert will be Jonathon McPhee and he will guide the symphony of New Hampshire through several works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Sibelius, Stravinsky, and other famous composers. There will be music from movies such as Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and the Pirates of the Caribbean.
A guest of this concert will be Camden Ward, the Concerto competition winner who will be performing the Concerto One Movement for Oboe by Eugene Goossens. This promises to be a fun afternoon for everyone, with movie screens located throughout the concert hall for kids to watch.
Tickets for this concert cost $15 for adults and seniors, or $10 for students with valid ID and children between the ages of 5 and 15. It will be held on Sunday, February 16, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Keefe Center for the Arts located at 117 Elm Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. To purchase tickets, visit the center’s website or call 603-595-9156.
