Chilly start to the Worcester weekend

The Big Dipper ‘All You Can Eat’ Ice Cream Festival is a rain or shine event open to the entire family and offering affordable prices.

The ice cream for this event is provided by Cold Stone Creamery, Coco’s Tropical Ice of Auburn, and Crystal Caves of Auburn. Poster printing, flyer printing, and other printing services from local printing companies may have been used to spread the word about this ice-cool event to residents in this community and the surrounding communities.

Aside from ice cream, among the fun factors for the entire family including food vendors with a wide selection of great treats, face painting, a raffle, balloons, clowns, some nature demonstrations, a team of cheerleaders, and the WPI robotics team. The event has free parking at various locations, so please check online.

A fundraising initiative, the day will benefit programs at Children’s Friend, which is home to the oldest family service and child program located in central Massachusetts. People attending are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather of the day, to bring sunscreen and sunglasses, and to provide hats for the children.

The cost is $5 per person over 10, $1 per person between four and nine, and free for children aged three and under. It will run tomorrow, June 29, from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm at Elm Park, Festival Fronts, located on Russell Street at the corner of Park Avenue and Highland Street in Worcester, Massachusetts.
