Moms run for life at Jake’s Place

May 4, 2013 by

Jake’s Place Clubhouse in Norton is sponsoring the annual Mother’s Club Relay for Life group. Residents of the area are invited to show their support by visiting Jake’s and joining in the fun.

While the children play and make new friends, moms will have the opportunity to meet and converse with other moms. The full service snack shack is a great place to grab a bite and a cold drink.

The Mothers’ Club of Mansfield is also selling luminary bags for $5 apiece in honor and support of family and friends who have fought the battle against cancer. Art supplies from a local print company will be available for children to decorate the luminary bags.

The Mansfield Mother’s Club is determined to ensure that the disease does not steal another life. By raising money in the Relay for Life event, this team is doing its part in assisting the American Cancer Society in its efforts to find a cure.

The Relay for Life event will take place on May 9, at 9:00 am. Jake’s Place Clubhouse is located at 253 Mansfield Avenue in Norton, which is about 30 minutes from Seekonk.

The price of admission is $10 for the first child, $5 for the second and third children and the fourth child’s admission is free of charge, as are children under the age of two. The Mansfield Mothers’ Club will receive 20% of the entire day’s admission.

Pre-registration is not required and more info can be found on Seekonk’s Patch website.
