February 2, 2013 by Mark
The Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts will be hosting the Down and Dirty pottery class on the first Thursday of every month as of February.
Each class is comprised of two sessions; the first focuses on the creation, sculpting and design of a piece, while the second addresses glazing and finishing.
The Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts is a gallery and school offering visual arts classes to children and adults of all ages, and may be of particular interest to those working for local print companies who want to add an artistic element to their output. As a nonprofit organization, the studio is able to provide budget-friendly events that are affordable for almost anyone. Their mission is to evoke the inner artist in each student and nurture their talents to their ultimate potential.
Additional art classes include watercolor and oil painting, sketching printmaking, acrylics, ceramics, and figure study. The studio provides all necessary materials for the children’s art classes. Adults and teenagers are required purchase their own supplies. All who register for this class will be provided with a detailed listof necessary materials, or may visit the website at and print the appropriate flyer from the online catalog of courses and materials.
The series begins on February 7 and the studio is located at 263 Central Street in Foxboro. Classes begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm. The cost for Down and Dirty Thursday is $20 per person, with a $10 fee for materials; and $30 per couple with a $20 material fee. As there is a limit of six students per class, early registration is encouraged.
