Fall River area meets the Russian kettle bell

April 7, 2013 by

Working out regularly with the famous, fat-burning kettle bell will sculpt, tone, strengthen, and increase the body’s flexibility. Residents of the Tiverton/Fall River area will have an opportunity to do just that this month

Managed by certified trainer and owner Steve Priestner, the ABC Studio is providing this opportunity in addition to its vast array of classes and workout programs, such as yoga, Tai Chi and spinning. Some include family and teen yoga, Russian kettle ball training, yoga spin fusion, sunrise spinning, mid-week cleanse spinning, and Vinyasa yoga. With so much of offer, it would be no surprise if the studio turns to catalog print to promote it all.

For centuries, the kettle bell was employed to train the Russians’ exclusive Special Forces. As the years passed, its popularity spread and the United States Military, as part of its fitness program, embraced the bell. Recently it has become all the rage at community spas and health clubs.

The kettle bell workout comprises the use of a bell with added weights for a sequence of movements that tone muscles while simultaneously working the heart rate, although negligible exertion and very little time are required. With minimal impact on the joints, the counterbalance center of gravity swiftly builds up joints and enhances muscle tone, while sculpting the rest of the body.

Those interested can have a try from April 10 through April 22 on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the Kettle Bell group meets from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the ABC Studio located at Four Corners Fitness in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Each class costs $15.00.
