South shore plaza sees opening of Wicked Good Cupcakes

On Thursday, August 1, Wicked Good Cupcakes, a company from the local area that has recently appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank, opened a kiosk at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, just outside of Victoria Secret. No doubt the company is using flyer printing and other printing services to distribute printed material throughout the mall so that customers will try the company’s cupcakes during their shopping experience.

The company has locations in Faneuil Hall in Boston and in Cohasset and was able to open this shop with an investment from Kevin O’Leary, the entrepreneur who created Shark Tank.

Wicked Good Cupcakes is known in the Boston area primarily for its cupcakes sold in eight-ounce Mason jars, each of which holds about two cupcakes. The company prides itself on its dedication to selling cupcakes, so that is the only item sold at their shops. In addition to the cupcakes in Mason jars, Wicked Good Cupcakes sells the more traditional cupcake in a variety of flavors with seasonal variations available. It bakes everything from scratch, including the frosting.

In addition, Wicked Good Cupcakes gives back to the community by donating a portion of the sale of every cupcake to a charitable organization. One of their programs, ‘Cupcakes with a Heart’, supports the Treehouse Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that helps to find permanent homes for children in the public foster care system. It also provides for the MSPCA, which is dedicated to the health and well-being of animals.
