Andover resident Kim Uggerholt, 18, is to star in the production of Legally Blonde produced by Boston Children’s Theatre.
Kim and other students will appear in the production which will be staged at The Governor’s Academy, Byfield. All the students are aged between 14 and 19 years old, and will appear in the show on August 2, 4 and 5.
Kim has had plenty of experience on the stage, with previous appearances including “Reflections of a Rock Lobster”, “The Wedding Singer” and “A Year with Frog and Toad”. The talented young actress will play three roles in the production; mom, Gaelen and a Delta Nu. In the Fall of this year, Kim will become a freshman at New York University.
Toby Schine, the executive producer for Boston Children’s Theatre is also the director of the production of Legally Blonde. He emphasizes the energy on stage, stating that the talents of the choreographer are allowing the students to reveal their musical talents. Reese Witherspoon originally starred in the film of Legally Blonde, playing the role of Elle Woods. As tickets go on sale for performances, the company may require the poster printing services of a local printing company, to promote the show.
