Sip coffee with the chamber

Thanks largely to the efforts of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, Shelton-based professionals have the pleasure of being able to attend another segment of Coffee Chat, a sales workshop, as well as this year’s Annual Wii Bowling Tournament later on. If the calendar is anything to go by, there is no shortage of professional opportunities available to business owners this month.

Things start off at a fairly leisurely pace with Coffee Chat being hosted this Friday, July 27. Beyond the networking potential of this event, the subject of this upcoming segment is one that is always worth exploring: making the most out of being a part of the Chamber. Beginning fairly early at 8:30 am and continuing from there, ‘How to Leverage Your Chamber Membership’ will give attendees some fresh ideas on how to get more leads, see more results from networking, and take advantage of other ways to advertise.

The action does not stop there as, three days after Coffee Chat, Seymour Law Firm will be hosting “Sell More…Sell Now” on July 30. While there is no getting around the ways in which such printing services as flyer printing and even postcard printing can help a company generate exposure, an administration still needs a means of turning inquiries into customers. Over the course of this free workshop, Shelton professionals will learn how to generate sales by asking questions. With content also covering information on handling objections, this is an event that local entrepreneurs will not want to miss.

With Young Emerging Professionals hosting its ‘2nd Annual Wii Bowling Tournament’ August 9, there will be more networking to do later on as well.
