Local Chamber Hosting Workshops This Month
April 18, 2012 by James
Thanks to the efforts of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, Shelton-based professionals have at least a couple of informative workshops to attend with the upcoming “Social Media Integration” seminar along with “Coffee Chat” taking place the next day.
The fun and games begin on the 17th with “Social Media Integration”. As the Internet has continued to expand over the years, businesses have been given a unique opportunity to promote themselves to prospective customers. These days, entrepreneurs with an eye towards getting established online have everything to gain from understanding how social media, blogs, and digital business cards can be used to build up credibility.
Starting at 8:30 am and continuing until about 10:00 am, attendees will be able to hear from the experts about the pros and cons of various platforms as well as the best uses for each of them. Free for members of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce and priced at a mere $10 for those who aren’t members, this is a great opportunity to pick up some important information at very little cost.
A day later on the 18th, the chamber will be at it again with “Coffee Chat: How to Leverage Your Chamber Membership”. While the advantages of being an active part of the chamber are clear where business card printing and the like is concerned, there are other ways that individuals can start getting more from being members of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce. Going from 8:30 am to 9:45 am, business owners can attend this one without disrupting their own schedules.
