Facebook workshop taking place August 16
July 23, 2012 by James
Whether one is hoping to explore Rocky Hill’s past or instead looking to pick up a bit of valuable information on Facebook marketing for businesses, it is clear that there are no shortage of options available in the coming weeks.
For those who are curious about how things have changed for Rocky Hill residents over the years, the Rocky Hill Historical Society is inviting people to come and see things for themselves. With exhibits, authentic items, and documents all there on display, those who decide to put in an appearance will be face-to-face with parts of the town’s heritage. With the Historical Society opening up every Tuesday and taking appointments at no cost, it is interesting to see how the group has made money in part through the selling of postcards and trinkets. If nothing else, the ways in which printing services like postcard printing can be used by non-profits are always nothing short of interesting.
Things quiet down until August 16, when Forfeng Designs’ Heather Turner will be presenting ‘The ABCs of Facebook Fan Pages for Businesses, Associations, and Groups’. With millions of users, and the additional advantage of being available at no cost, social media is an incredibly potent means of promoting companies, as well as different causes. Being held with the support of the Cromwell Community Toastmasters, this free workshop will provide attendees with all the information they need to know.
Taking place in the evening with a start time of 6:00 pm, the schedule is sure to suit most working individuals as well.
