Norwalk means business over forthcoming weeks

With the chamber hosting a “Business After Hours” event and the 2012 Small Business Awards Luncheon coming up, Norwalk business professionals have at least a couple of dates to watch for on the calendar.

As far as local networking opportunities are concerned, it will be hard to do better than Business After Hours. Taking place May 24 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, this is a golden opportunity to make new contacts while getting reacquainted with old ones. Being held at Meigas Restaurant, it goes without saying that the chamber couldn’t have chosen a better venue for this one. Sitting at a price of $25 for members and $45 for guests, those who are interested in attending the meeting are being advised to sign up as soon as possible.

The big event for which printing companies have probably been hard at work is the 2012 Small Business Awards Luncheon on June 7. Being co-sponsored by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, as well as TD Bank, business owners have the option of coming out and celebrating the accomplishments of other local entrepreneurs. Starting at 11:30 am and concluding a little bit later at 2:00 pm, this is an event that doesn’t happen every day. With tickets going at $45 for chamber members and $65 for those who aren’t members, prospective attendees will have to register for this big occasion as well.

Whether looking to network or simply to be a part of Norwalk’s business community, these are two events that are worth looking into from a local professional’s perspective.
