Local nursery school to hold annual trunk show

The United Church Nursery School (UCNS) in South Norwalk (Rowayton) will be holding its annual holiday trunk show next week. Vendors from around the area will be showcasing their wares just in time for holiday shoppers interested in finding something unique for that special someone in their lives. All proceeds will go to benefit and support the nursery school.

A trunk show is a sales event designed to offer merchandise to a select audience or group of customers. In this instance, that will mean the families of children who attend UCNS, as well as those in the community who wish to support the school, or expect to have children attend UCNS in the future.

This year’s fundraiser will offer a wide range of accessories for the home and items meant specifically to be given as gifts, such as jewelry, clothing and other accessory items. Those that wish to advertise the event may want to contract with printing companies to have flyer or poster printing completed, or to order banning printing for an exhibit at the show.

The trunk show is the largest fundraising event held for the school, and has also been found to be hugely popular in the past. Those who wish to attend are urged to arrive early to avoid missing out on the most popular items.

This year’s UCNS trunk show will be held December 5 and 6 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the church meeting house, 210 Rowayton Ave. A $5 cover charge will be collected at the door. Parking will be free.
