Middleton invited to try its hand at tie dying

February 23, 2017 by

Tie dying has long been used to create colorful pieces of clothing, and in Middleton, a workshop has been planned that will give participants a chance to try heir hand at this craft.

Creative Girls Studios will be hosting a tie dying seminar. Each participant will learn how to create five distinctive designs.

According to the organizers, the dyes used will be vibrant and permanent, and they feel the class could be of great benefit to teachers, camp leaders and others who work with children, as it is an activity they can share with their young charges. Each person will walk away with a set of skills they can use and also two t-shirts they’ve hand decorated. Newsletter printing can be used to create community bulletins that keep the public aware of events like this that are going on in their local area.

Anyone who is interested in taking part is asked to register ahead of time and to indicate what size t-shirt they wear. All supplies will be provided for them, and they are reminded to wear old clothes they won’t mind getting some dye on.

The workshop will be held in the organizer’s Middletown studio, which can be found at 360 Main Street, on March 1st. The cost to participate is $42.00 each, which includes refreshments and all the materials needed. Additional details can be found on the event’s Patch listing.
