Jazzy night and business speakers await
August 6, 2012 by James
With the 2012 New Haven Jazz Festival on the horizon and ‘Evening at New Haven Open at Yale’ also taking place in the coming weeks, East Haven residents and professionals have at least a couple of events to plan towards in August.
Lovers of live music are getting a legitimate opportunity to listen to a number of top-notch musicians through the 2012 New Haven Jazz Festival on August 11. Being held at the New Haven Green, this family-oriented event will be headlined by Godwin Louis and T.S. Monk. Between the presence of other seasoned performers like Annette A. Aguilar and her group and the showcasing of locally-based high school musicians, attendees can expect a nice sense of balance from this event. Starting in the evening at 5:00 pm and going from there, interested individuals have the option of purchasing tickets online.
Speaking of events likely to require a number of printing services from brochure printers ahead of time, the Greater New Haven Chamber is hosting this year’s ‘Evening at New Haven Open at Yale’ on August 20. With Steve Weissman of ESPN being featured as the main speaker while Anne Worcester, CMO of Market New Haven, also participates, there is no question that plenty of insights will be heard over the course of the evening.
With the event beginning at 5:30 pm and expected to last for roughly two hours, the timing will be ideal for most. Priced at $95 for members and $105 for guests, prospective attendees will need to RSVP for this one as well.
