Charitable program run by dance studio in Greenwich

The Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom in Greenwich, together with seven other dance studios of Arthur Murray, recently announced its ‘Dance 2 Donate’ initiative for the New Year, which will benefit Stand Up to Cancer and its research in providing new therapies for patients. The Studio will most likely be turning to flyer printing to help in the efforts to raise awareness of this campaign.

In a move that allows people to let themselves loose while supporting a good cause, The Dance 2 Donate program will give $5 to the non-profit organization for each person that signs up for a private dance lesson between now and January 31.

According to the owner of the Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom in Greenwich, Christine Georgopulo, one out of two men and one out of three women will get cancer. Therefore, as much money as possible needs to be raised to “just get rid of it or at least hold it at bay.”

Georgopulo added that this campaign helps the community to give back through dancing. It provides an opportunity to help someone whether they are a friend or someone across the country to contribute to the greater good.

The Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom in Greenwich is a dance studio very much designed as a ballroom in the Regency period style. The studio offers private lessons, group lessons and practice parties on a weekly basis, where students can dance anything they want from the salsa to the foxtrot.
