This summer’s Fairfield Sidewalk Sales Event ready to sizzle
July 5, 2013 by Sarah
As traditional as the Fourth of July parade, the town of Fairfield, Connecticut, in conjunction with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, will host this year’s annual Fairfield Sidewalk Sales Event at the Downtown Fairfield Center this month.
Participating stores will be offering reduced prices, along with family fun activities and live music performances at four entertainment areas. Area restaurants will be also be offering special menus for the occasion.
Local downtown businesses can participate by signing up with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce—free of charge—and by setting up display booths in front of their establishments. The Chamber and the town of Fairfield will be providing digital business advertising for the event on their own websites, along with lawn signs posted around town.
Store owners who wish to participate can enhance their own websites with digital advertising or contract with a flyer printing company to have materials made for distribution prior to the event. Also, participants may wish to work with a printing company to have banners made for display at their booths, or have poster printing done for placement both inside and outside their shops a week or two in advance of the event to generate interest. Some stores may be hosting preview days prior to the event as well.
The Sidewalk Sales Event will be held downtown Saturday, July 27, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Event organizers promise a fun-filled day for people of all ages. Patronage is encouraged by the Chamber to help keep local businesses thriving.
