Ready-made Christmas trees to be available in Fairfield

November 13, 2013 by

Fairfield residents can get into that holiday spirit by purchasing their pre-decorated Christmas trees at the city’s upcoming 2013 Christmas Tree Festival: A Celebration of the Human Spirit.

In the past, The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival, Inc. has given over 3 million dollars to local charities and this year’s recipient will be the Kennedy Center Artist Cooperative, a new program that opens in Bridgeport soon.

Visitors can stroll through rooms designed and decorated by local artists and interior designers while drinking hot cider. Decorated trees and live wreaths, as well as hand-crafted holiday decorations throughout the mansion, will be for sale. The Holiday Boutique Shop will be open for visitors to purchase Christmas gifts and ornaments as well.

Festivities begin December 5th with the Snowflake Preview Gala, an evening filled with music by Christina Tambakis from Twisted Vine. There will also be an open bar, fabulous food, a silent auction and the opportunity to purchase Christmas items from the mansion and The Holiday Boutique Shop before they are available to the public the next morning.

Print shops will have no doubt been called upon for poster and banner printing to promote Christmas Tree Festival events such as a Christmas Island Party (a light slider, taco salsa food dinner with the band Together), PJ’s, Pancakes and Penguins (a pancake breakfast for the whole family) and Winter Wonderland (a pasta dinner).

Doors will open to the public Friday, Dec 6 10am -7pm, Saturday Dec. 7 and Sunday Dec. 8 10am to 4pm at the Burr Homestead, Fairfield.
