Learn something new at the Agricultural Fair

July 8, 2012 by

The Greenfield Hill Grange Agricultural Fair will take place on August 18 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Admission is free.

The fair will feature vegetable and flower contests, hands-on crafts, fresh food, musical entertainment, lectures, and children’s games. The vegetable and flower contests will allow residents to show off their gardening skills and be awarded for them. There will be something for every member of the family to enjoy and the kids might even learn a thing or two along the way. Many of us have little idea what goes on at a farm, so a farmer lecture will let everyone know exactly what it is they do and will show how important farms are to our survival. After all, that is where most of our food comes from.

The organizers of the event will probably be using the services of Fairfield printing companies to get ready for the fair. Banner printing services will give them the ability to highlight each area of the fair with a different banner. They might also want to design and create flyers and posters to advertise the upcoming event to those in the community who might not know about it.

Greenfield Hill Grange is part of the National Grange, which was founded in 1867. The organization is an advocate for American farms and agriculture and has chapters in over 2,000 towns and cities. The organization’s mission is to create strong communities and to give those communities a voice in local, state, and federal government.
