Enfield becomes AWARE of pet pictures with Santa Claus

November 12, 2013 by

For the 15th year, Enfield pet owners can have their pets professionally photographed with or without Santa at the Pet Pictures with Santa Event.

In just a couple of weeks, The Animal Welfare and Rights Entity (AWARE) will be conducting its annual photo ops for pets. Although appointments can be made by calling 860-872-1586, walk-ins will be welcomed.

Dennis Aluisa of Classic Images Photography, a professional photographer will be taking pictures of pets and offering several different picture packages and photo sizes for purchase. Profits from the sale will fund the animal rescue efforts of AWARE, an all-volunteer group that provides food and veterinarian care for abandoned or abused animals, then puts them up for adoption.

Pet owners can choose from a variety of photo compositions. The pets can be photographed by themselves, with Santa, or with family members. Relatives can be photographed by themselves or any combination of pets and Santa. Due to the photographer’s photo digit system, pet owners can see the proofs immediately after the session, select the pictures they want, and order the packages on site.

Christmas and other holiday cards will be for sale, and participants could also wait until they receive the photos and then get some holiday card or postcard printing done before December sets in at a local printing service.

The event will be held Saturday, November 16, beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm, at Colonial Gardens, 46 Hartford Turnpike Route 30, Tolland.
