Bristol amusement park introduces Holiday Lights

November 15, 2012 by

For the very first time, Lake Compounce in Bristol Connecticut will open during the Holiday season, with Lake Compounce Holiday Lights. The oldest amusement park in the US will open the event on November 30 to run through till December 23. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the amusement park will create a magical Holiday event for all the family.

Lake Compounce originally opened in 1846 as a picnic park, and since then has benefited from more than $40m of investment, continually improving and developing the park. Boulder Dash has been voted the best wooden roller coaster in the world, while Lake Compounce has become the largest water park in Connecticut. As this year will be the first year that Lake Compounce has opened during the Holiday time, visitors will see the park completely transformed into a winter wonderland.

There will be various indoor activities in addition to the outdoor rides and fun. A light show will take place every half hour at the main entrance to the park, with thousands of lights set to festive music. The Train will become the North Pole Railway with a conductor telling festive tales. Christmas Carols will be sung around the park by carolers, and ice sculpting will be placed around the park. Children can create their own letters to Santa and will receive a reply a just few days later.

The details of opening times and admission prices will no doubt be circulated using local flyer printing and poster printing services to ensure families can join in the festive fun.
