Jazz enthusiasts will not want to miss out as four groups featured at this year’s Capital City Jazz Fest 2016, which will once again be hosted by the Madison Jazz Society.

Tickets are going quickly for the event, which will have four sessions. Some jazz bands that will be performing are The Wolverine Jazz Band (Swing and Dixie Land), Hal Smith’s Swing Central (small band swing of the 1930s and ‘40s). The Yerba Buena Stompers (West Coast jazz) and Fat Babies Jazz Band (playing classic jazz styles of the 1920s and ‘30s) will also be performing.

All Madison jazz enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for session one of the fest, which will run from 6:30 pm until 11:30 pm tomorrow, April 29. Session two is sold out, but session three will be Saturday, April 30, from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The fourth session will start at 11:30 am and go until 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 1.

Sunday morning’s Jazz Worship Celebrations will be at the Fest venue at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, 2969 Cahell Main, Madison. The other will be at the First United Methodist Church 203 Wisconsin Avenue, Downtown Madison, both starting at 9:00 am. Space will be limited to 200 attendees per performance, so the organizers suggest that those interested get tickets immediately.
