March 6, 2014 by Mark
The ‘Friends of Madison Public Library Book Sale’ gets underway today and will be the first book sale held inside the brand new Central Library.
Guests will be able to pick up used children’s books, fiction, and non-fiction books, as well as history and art publications. The Friends of the Library may have used poster printing and flyer printing to encourage people in the area to attend.
This is the first time in many years that the book sale will have Sunday hours. Friends of Madison Public Library members are able to attend from 12:00 pm today, although new members are welcome to come and join at the door. There is no charge to attend on any other day.
The sale will be happening from today until Sunday, March 9, at various hours at the Madison Public Library, 1st Floor Study Rooms, located at 201 W. Mifflin Street.
Normal sale hours for the public will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday, and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday. From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, the last day of the book sale, there will be a bag sale with each bag selling for $5. The sale takes place on the first floor in the study rooms, close to the main entrance.
