Great music and competitions await in Burlington

April 10, 2013 by

The weekend’s ‘Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest Benefit’ is to feature a concert by Claire Olsen with all the proceeds going to Love, Inc., Transitional Living Center, and Echo Lake Food Employee Relief Fund.

With a wealth of performers drafted in to entertain the audience, no doubt the organizers will be considering consulting local companies for poster printing services as attendees look to take home a memento of the day’s fun.

During this exciting benefit, guests will hear from such performers are the Borderline String Band, Lois Jones Su Gustafson, Hannah Lindell, and Sweet Adelines Quartet, as well as appearances from the current Miss Wisconsin Pageant local representatives, and former title holders of the Miss burlington Area ChocolateFest.

As part of the pageant taking place on the day, some brave contestants will be judged by their responses to a 10-minute private interview, a 90-second talent routine, a swimwear competition to assess fitness and poise, an evening gown walk, and one on-stage question. The woman that triumphs in this competition will move forward to compete in the Miss Wisconsin Pageant in June next year.

The cost to attend this event is $10 per person with tickets available at the door. The Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest Benefit will be held this Sunday, April 14, beginning at 3:00 pm at the Veterans Terrace, Echo Park, located at 589 Milwaukee Avenue in Burlington, Wisconsin. For tickets or to learn more, please visit the Burlington Area ChocolateFest website or call Sue Johnson at 262-534-3651.
