Shop ‘Til You Drop to give last-minute shoppers another chance
December 1, 2011 by Mark
Baraboo residents have a plenty to look forward to when it comes to both the shopping and festivities leading up to the holidays.
Although the offer officially began back in November, folks still have every Saturday from now until December 24th to ride with a horse and wagon through town. Santa Claus will be at the Al. Ringling Theatre to entertain the children and accompanying adults will have every opportunity to do a little window-shopping while sipping hot chocolate at different stops. Local carolers will be doing their part to enhance that Christmas atmosphere as they serenade people around town.
According to Downtown Baraboo, buyers won’t have to overextend themselves as shops will be open for extra hours. No matter how an individual looks at it, that’s a compelling reason to come out and enjoy Baraboo’s growing sense of community.
As the site puts it:
“From December 16-23 shop till you drop at our downtown shops. Most shops are open until 7:00 pm with extended hours. Our downtown offers that unique gift, big surprise or special item that you just can’t find anywhere but here. Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery, hospitality and uniqueness that is all Baraboo. Our merchants will make your last days of shopping enjoyable moments as you find that perfect something for that special someone.”
Even if the flyer printing and additional poster printing hasn’t fully convinced people, the free rides and the extended hours are definitely worth coming out for. In any case, Shop ‘Til You Drop is sure to be popular with Baraboo residents this year.
