More haste, less speed in Baraboo production
February 14, 2013 by James
Next week, ‘The Tortoise vs. the Hare’ will offer a classic children’s theatre production featuring more than 50 local children, of all age groups, working under the instruction of two well-trained directors to stage a full-length play of this special story.
This educational residency program is being offered by the Missoula Children’s Theatre and all children are invited to come out and audition at the start of the week-long session. During the week, the children will train for their parts under the guidance of two renowned tour directors. As the week draws to a close, performances will be presented with audiences obtaining a fresh and invigorating new look at an old-time classic favourite. During this week-long event, children will be able to take workshops at the schools and improve their skills and confidence. Children interested in participating can find additional information on the Missoula Children’s Theatre website.
Flyer printing and poster printing by local printing companies may have been used to promote this special educational event to parents and children in this region. The cost to attend one of the performances is $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
The Tortoise vs. the Hare performances are scheduled from Monday, February 18 to Saturday, February 23 at 3:00 pm and again at 7:00 pm each day at the Al Ringling Theatre located at 138 Fourth Avenue in Baraboo, Wisconsin. To book tickets, please visit the Al Ringling Theatre website or call the box office at 608-356-8864.
