October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in several countries, including the United States, and the city of Sioux Falls is presenting several events designed to raise funds to fight this disease with the Avera Cancer Institute’s Think Pink campaign. Two of the upcoming events are aimed at women in particular.

Firstly, the 6th annual Paint the Night Pink is an art exhibit and a fashion show. There are expected to be over 100 artworks on show, all inspired by breast cancer patients and survivors. In addition, the Avera Pink Ladies will be modeling in the Chelsea’s Boutique fall fashion show; the Ladies are all local breast cancer survivors.

Paint the Night Pink is taking place at Perspective Architecture on October 18 from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Admission is $25. Call 605-271-9877 to learn more about the evening’s activities.

Over the same weekend, the Etc. Expo for Her is returning to Sioux Falls for the 8th year. Over two days, women can enjoy shopping, entertainment, and spa pampering. They can also attend seminars on health and wellbeing, and there will be a cooking stage and more than 200 vendors. The first 200 women through the door will receive a free gift bag.

This one is being held at Sioux Falls Convention Center from October 18 to 19. Tickets are $6 or $5 with a food donation to the Sioux Falls Food Pantry. Contact Angela at 605-351-5515 for more information.

Sioux Falls printing companies are likely helping the organizers of both events by providing products such as flyers for advertising.
