Sioux Falls celebrates Champions for Children

April 22, 2013 by

South Dakota Voices for Children are holding their Champions for Children Awards at the end of April.

The awards, which were established in 1996, are given to both volunteers and professionals who work with children on a regular basis and whose exemplary achievements have become noticed in the community. Awards are given to both individuals and to organizations or community groups. Honoring these people not only thanks them for their work and their dedication, but it also encourages them to continue their work and for others to follow in their footsteps.

The event will be a good networking opportunity for those in the community who are dedicated to improving the lives of children and local businesses. Many of those who plan to attend will no doubt be placing a new business card printing order with Sioux City printers in advance. Business cards are the best way to keep in touch with peers; they are easily stowed in a pocket or a purse and give all the necessary contact information that is needed.

This year, the awards will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of South Dakota Voices For Children. The organization helps to improve the lives of children by helping to provide necessities of life such as food, education, clothing and shelter.

The Champions for Children Awards will take place at the Holiday Inn City Centre on April 25 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Information such as the price of tickets can be obtained by calling 605-367-9667.
