October a time for festivals in Sioux Falls

September 17, 2013 by

There will be two festivals taking place in Sioux Falls this October which should appeal to people of all ages.

The first event will be the Reading Festival hosted by the Sioux Empire United Way. This will be a family friendly event featuring storytelling, hands-on activities for children aged 0-7, and crafts. Favorite story book characters will also be making appearances during the morning, and local literacy organizations will be on hand to provide parents with information and resources for their children. Every child who attends will receive a free book.

The Reading Festival will take place on October 19 at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall. Admission is free.

Later in October, the Autumn Arts and Crafts Festival will take place over three days. The festival has been voted one of the top 100 in the United States, and will feature vendors selling handcrafted and unique items. This will likely include clothing, jewelry, works of art, and pottery. There will also be food and drink available for purchase, family activities and draws for gift certificates.

The event will take place from October 25 to 27 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Tickets are $7, $6 for seniors and free for children aged 10 and under.

Both of these events will likely be of interest to many visitors, and organizers will want to make sure everyone in the community is aware of them. This will probably include investing in flyer and poster printing services from Sioux Falls printing companies.
