The Sioux Empire Fair will take place at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds from August 4 – 12 from 8:00 am – 12:00 am each day and there will be a sneak peek of the fair on August 3 from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Tickets are $7 for adults and $2 for children between the ages of 6 and 12. A pass for the run of the fair is $60 or $30 each day, with the roller coaster having an additional charge.

There will be something at the fair to appeal to everyone in the family. Features on offer include carnival rides and games, food concessions, grandstand shows by such artists as Tracy Lawrence and Styx, the Miss Sioux Empire Fair contest, strolling performers, Old MacDonald’s Farm petting zoo, Pioneer Lane, a haystack scramble, the World’s Biggest Little Rodeo for children aged 4 – 6, a kids’ pedal pull, a youth talent contest, horse shows, and livestock contests.

Vendors will also be selling products of interest to the general public and showcasing their products. Vendors must apply to take part and will be charged based on size of area required. Organizers of the fair will no doubt be depending on Sioux Falls printing companies to help get the word out about this popular annual fair. They will require banner printing, poster printing and even sign printing services, all of which can be provided for a reasonable price.

The Sioux Empire Fair has been a popular event for 73 years. People just keep coming back and it will no doubt be around for a long time to come.
