Annual fundraiser pair to help improve the community
April 6, 2014 by Max
This May, two fundraising events taking place in Sioux Falls will help to improve the quality of life in the community.
The first event is the 7th annual City Blossom. This is a presentation of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, which pays tribute to community builders. The organization distributes funds to local organizations that are dedicated to creating a vibrant city. The event, which features a cocktail reception, has raised over $1m in just six years.
It will be held at Vance Thompson Vision on May 1 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $1,000 per person. For more information, call 605-336-7055.
A couple of days later, the Washington Pavilion is set to host its 53rd annual Arts Night. More than 70 artists will be placing their works of art up for auction to help raise money for the Pavilion’s Visual Arts Center’s programs. Prior to the auction, many of the works of art have been on display at the center since February.
This one will be held at the Washington Pavilion and is taking place on May 3 from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. To find out more about this event, call 605-731-2303.
Both of these events will no doubt appeal to those who are interested in the future of Sioux Falls. To attract more people to fundraising events, organizers often contact local printing companies for help. They may invest in marketing materials such as posters and flyers to be distributed in the city.
